New Hotline to Report Pill Mills

The U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration has established a hotline in Florida for tips about so-called "pill mills."

Following last month's raids of unscrupulous pain management clinics in Palm Beach, Broward and Miami-Dade counties, the DEA established the toll-free line so the public can report prescription drug abuse at other clinics.

The 24-hour tip line is 888-954-4662.

South Florida has become a national hotbed of illegal prescriptions for painkillers like oxycodone to drug addicts and dealers throughout the eastern U.S.
