And the Winners Are?

Our partners at Palm Beach County schools developed the Alcohol Prevention Poster Contest through Project SMART, which addresses issues of underage drinking in the school system.

About 500 entries were submitted from Palm Beach County students, and 3000 people participated in the online voting.

The winners of the Project SMART Alcohol Prevention Poster Contest are: 

Elementary Schools:
Alicia Torres, 3rd grade, Meadow Park Elementary
Samantha Licciardi, 4th grade, Manatee Elementary

Middle Schools:
Talia Fradkin, 7th grade, Atrium School (private)
Victoria McKee, 7th grade, Independence Middle

High Schools:
Kyle Maglietta, 10th grade, Seminole Ridge Community High
Mia Fielding, 10th grade, South Tech Academy

Each winner will receive $100 and their entries will be displayed on 1,000 Palm Beach County school buses for the rest of the school year.

The awards ceremony will take place at 9:30 am on Feb. 21 at the school district’s Central Bus Compound.
